Online Advertising Manager
Vested Ventures is looking for a Senior Online Advertising Manager with plenty of affiliate marketing, display advertising, and search marketing experience. You'll be focused on a 5mm+ unique visitors per month website initially, but working to maximize ad/search revenues for other sites in the future.
Responsibilities
- Maximize ad/search revenues for a 5mm+ unique visitors per month website. [top 10k Alexa site]
- Daily focus on the publisher-side of: affiliate marketing, display advertising, and search marketing.
- Manage search/display advertiser relationships; establish new relationships in US and overseas.
- Manage projects, programmers, designers - for tasks to increase revenues.
- Manage a designer that will develop landing pages per your recommendation, which you will then do A/B split testing on to maximize revenues.
- Evaluate and manage the implementation of an ad server.
- Monitor web analytics.
- Pull daily revenue reports from advertisers.
- In future, work on multiple web properties to maximize affiliate/ad/search revenues.
Qualifications
- Attention to detail; multi-tasking; time management; prioritization of tasks based on revenue impact; entrepreneurial; creative thinker; strategic thinker; ability to wear multiple hats; excellent written and verbal communication skills; solid understanding of how websites and web apps are built; experience writing technical specs / PRDs (project requirement document); experience in managing website projects from concept to execution is a plus.
- Passion for the "web" a must. Social media and viral marketing experience desired. Hopefully you have a blog/website, and have accounts on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
- Solid experience with: Website analytics; display advertising; search advertising; affiliate marketing; A/B testing; landing page design; writing marketing copy for banners/text search ads/landing pages; Google AdSense for Search, Google AdWords, Google AdWords Editor, ClickEgg, Urchin.
- 5+ years experience in Web development environment
- 3+ with affiliate marketing, search marketing (PPC), and/or display advertising.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science, Marketing, or similar/relevant field preferred
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus
Senior Programming Guru
Vested Ventures is looking for a Senior Web Developer with plenty of PHP, MySQL and large scale website development experience. You'll be working on a variety of projects - building scalable web applications from scratch (based on specs) that will be used by millions.
Responsibilities
- Implement and play with Memcache, Gearman, Mogile, PEAR, etc. in a high volume environment
- Work on high traffic and scalability problems.
- Facilitate communication within business, quality, product and technical teams
- Lead code reviews
- Help enforce and refine development practices
- Mentor other developers (future)
- Assist in feasibility analysis and estimation
- Communicate status and escalate issues.
Qualifications
- 8+ years experience in Web development
- 3+ with PHP/MySQL/Apache
- Solid experience with Subversion, JavaScript, CSS and OO programming
- Knowledge of Memcache, SOA, PEAR, JSON are a plus
- Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or similar/relevant field preferred
- Passion for the "web" a must. Hopefully you have a blog/website, and accounts on Facebook, Twitter, etc.
